Beechcraft Baron 55
The Baron
“Beechcraft's original cabin-class twin.”

The smaller, shorter Baron — the one Beechcraft built first, before stretching it into the 58 that became the icon. Six seats, twin Continentals, the unmistakable Beech smell of leather and avgas. Production ran from 1961 to 1982 with very little changed in twenty years, because they got it right.
Fun fact
Beechcraft built more than 3,700 Baron 55s — making it the most successful cabin-class twin of the 1960s.
One might be overhead right now.
