Beechcraft T-6A Texan II
The Texan II
“The trainer where every American military pilot learns to fly.”
Beechcraft · military
NO PHOTO
A turboprop primary trainer based on the Pilatus PC-9 — every U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps pilot starts their flying career in one of these. Tandem cockpit, ejection seats, glass panel, 320 knots. Painted white with yellow stripes if it's Air Force, white with red stripes if it's Navy.
Fun fact
The T-6A name is a nod to the original North American T-6 Texan — the World War II trainer it replaced after a 60-year gap in the lineage.
One might be overhead right now.
